The Parent Chapter Annual Beefsteak Dinner, our first fundraiser of the year, is scheduled for Saturday February 23rd. Thanks to the feedback NK Jekyll received from the members that attend both from our chapter and yours (yes, he listens!) he's made some changes to the event bringing it back to the original format everyone loved.
He's moved the event back to a rental hall, in this case the Paramus Elks (200 Rt 17 North Paramus, NJ 07652) It was one of the few halls in our area that was large enough for us. He's contracted with Nightingale Catering, our original beefsteak caterer, and they are happy to be back after a 2 year hiatus. He's booked a Saturday so there will be no conflict with religious considerations during lent. Saturday is also an easier travel day for many he was advised. The cost remains the same, $55 per person.
Many of you told us you liked the less formal event. The original hall in Lodi we rented was in serious disrepair and Jekyll felt the safety and comfort of our members and supporters was paramount, hence the need to move it.
